3oz dried dates
1 cup coffee
4oz butter
4oz sugar
4oz self raising flour (or plain flour with baking powder)
Half teaspoon mixed spice
Teaspoon black treacle or molasses
2 eggs

Sauce:
2.5 oz dark brown sugar ( or white and black treacle)
1.5 oz butter
4 oz single cream.

Directions:
Boil dried dates in a cup of coffee until soft and drain & mash. Mix all other ingredients in a bowl and add dates. Add a little milk if not dropping consistency. Put in a microwave bowl and cook in microwave for approx 6 mins. Don't over cook

For the sauce: Melt butter and sugar in pan add cream and simmer for 5 mins. Pour over pudding and serve with ice cream
