5 lb. green beans
1 c. flour
2 1/2 lb. brown sugar
2 T. turmeric powder
1 c. dry mustard
2 T. celery seed
1 tsp. salt
3 pints vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and cut beans. Cook in salted water for 20 minutes.

Mix dry ingredients together. Add vinegar and blend until smooth. Boil for 5 minutes. Add beans and bring to boiling point. Bottle at once in hot sterile jars and seal.

Taken from Beller Family Cookbook by Vera Beller. I remember having these on the farm as a child. They were great added as a condiment into your personal bowl of casserole or such as they had a nice zing to them.
