1½ cups flaked coconut
3 cups rolled oats
1¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Spread the coconut and oats over a large baking sheet.
Bake at 350º for 10 minutes or until roasted, stirring often. Cool.
Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets.
Mix the flour, baking soda and salt.
Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl at medium speed for 1 minute.
Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and beat until mixed.
Beat in the milk.
Stir in the flour, then the coconut and nuts.
Drop dough in 1/4 cup amounts 3 inches apart, onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes at 350º.
Let cool 1 minute and transfer to a wire rack.
