½ cup crisco
½ cup molasses
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup hot water
1 tsp soda
3 ½ cup flour

Preheat 350. Mix: all ingredients. Bake 13 minutes on greased sheets.
