1 1/2 c walnuts
pinch fine salt
2 sticks unsalted butter room temp
1/2 c sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar plus more for tossing

Directions:
Directions:
put 1/2 cup walnuts and salt in food processor and pulse until finely ground. roughly chopp remaining walnuts

Beat butter in large bowl on med high speed until smooth. Add sugar beat till light and fluffy.
then add the ground walnuts then the chopped. Divide dought in half and wrap with plastic and chill till cold, about 30 mins. Put powd. sugar in bowl. Keep one in fridge as you work on other, roll about 2 tsp of dough into a ball, place on cookie sheet bake until golden brown about 18 mins. cool only for about 5 mins then roll cookies in powdered sugar. Once cooled store in airtight container.
