1 1/4 cup cake flour, plus more for dusting
7 T butter
1/4 cup gran. sugar
1/2 t almond extract
3 T whole milk
1 egg beaten
1 T finely chopped almonds
1 T pearl sugar (see spec. stores)

Directions:
Directions:
In food proc. combine 1 1/4 c flour,butter,sugar and almond extract. pulse until a dough forms. Shape into a ball then flatten into a disc 1 inch thick. cover with plastic and refrigerate for an hour.
preheat 350,
beat the egg with the milk
Divide dough in half. on lightly floured surface roll out dough into 3/4 in log. Brush each log with egg mix and sprinkle with almonds and pearl sugar. Cut into 2 inch pieces. Arrange on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake 12-14 mins until barely golden. Transfer to rack for cooling and serve.
