2 1/2 c flour
2 tsp grnd cardamom
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup butter room temp
1 c powd sugar
1 large egg
1 T vanilla
1 tsp grated lemon zest

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk flour cardamom and salt in a bowl
Put butter and powd sugarin food processor, process till smooth. Pulse in egg vanilla and lemon zest. until combined. Add flour mixture, process to make soft buttery dough. divide dough into two. Get two pieces of plastic wrap and use to roll into rough logs, refrigerate for at least 30 mins. enough to shape into more unform logs, about 8 in long, 2 inch diameter. Refrigerate overnight or 2 hours.
Oven at 325
Scatter sanding sugar, colors...and roll logs in to completely cover. cut into 1/4 inch slices and space an inch apart on cookie sheet, bake about 20 mins or till edges are golden brown, cool cookies on rack. Store in airtight container up to 2 weeks
