2 pounds green beans, trimmed
4 heads dill
4 cloves garlic
4 dried chili pepper pods (optional)
2 1/2 cups water
2 1/2 cups vinegar
1/4 cup canning salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pack beans, lengthwise, into 4 hot pint canning jars leaving 1/4 inch head space. To each jar, add 1 head dill, 1 clove garlic, and 1 pepper pod if using. Combine water, vinegar and salt and bring to a boil. Pour over beans leaving the 1/4 inch head space. Clean off any spills and adjust canning lids. Process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath. Let beans sit for two weeks to allow flavors to develop.
