2 large cucumbers sliced about 1/8th inch thick
1 large sweet onion sliced thin
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp snipped fresh chives
1 tbsp snipped fresh dillweed (can use dried)

Directions:
Directions:
Place sliced cucumbers and onions in medium sized bowl, mix thoroughly
In separate bowl mix remaining ingredients together to create smooth sauce
Pour mixture over cucumbers and onions, mix thoroughly
Marinate for at least an hour before serving.

Grandma Gillenwater would make her cucumber salad using this recipe. Sometimes fresh chives and dillweed were not handy so she would add what she had dried and stored in the cupboard.
