Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Ingredients for 1 recipe:
1 jar (10 oz) of marshmallow cream
1 and ½ cups sugar
2/3 cups evaporated milk
¼ cup butter (or ½ stick)
¼ teaspoon salt.

Chocolate ingredients added after above mixture cooked and boil for 5 minutes:

1 bag (12 oz) chocolate morsels
1 bar (4 oz) broken up helps for easier melting, of good chocolate like Cadbury Milk Chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan, combine above ingredients, stirring constantly, else mixture will clump or burn. Bring to full boil on medium heat (can take 20 minutes for double batch, with constant stirring).

Key point #1: once mixture starts to boil, start timer and be sure to continue to boil mixture for 5 minutes while constantly stirring – this allows fudge to be smooth and not gritty.

Key point #2: first you remove from heat, after 5 minutes of boiling, only then add chocolate mixture of 1 bag (12 oz) chocolate morsels and 1 bar (4 oz) broken up helps for easier melting, of good chocolate like Cadbury Milk Chocolate.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Stir until mixture is smooth with no lumps.

Pour into 8 inch square pan which has been lined with Reynolds Wrap – release / non-stick foil. If you use regular foil, you will need to grease it with butter. Chill in pan until firm (overnight or 12 hours).
We usually double the recipe using a large tub of Marshmallow cream and then require a large jelly roll pan.
Mom would sometimes add nuts to final mixture.
