1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 Cup Molasses
2 Tablespoons Vinegar
5 Cup Flour
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Ginger
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
-Cream shortening with sugar.
-Add egg, molasses, and vinegar; beat well.
-Slowly add in dry ingredients, until well combined.

-Chill 3 hours!

-Preheat oven to 375º
-Roll thin on lightly floured surface.
-Cut out shapes.

-Bake for 5-6 minutes.

Louise is my mom and we make these every Christmas!! We make small gingerbread men and women. They are decorated with a simple red heart. The red heart is made with melted red chocolate candy melts.
