INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. lean ground beef 2 cups beef broth

⅓ cup bread crumbs 1 large onion (sliced thinly)

¼ chopped onions 1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 egg beaten 3 Tble. cornstarch

3 Tble. water 1 tsp. salt

¼ tsp. black pepper

1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until evenly mixed.

Shape beef mixture into 4 patties ¾ thick.

2. Fry patties in a large skillet over med heat until browned on both sides. Reduce heat to low, simmer until patties are

are no longer pink in the center, about 10 min. Transfer patties to a platter and keep warm.

3. Bring 2 cups of beef broth and onion slices to a boil. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl stir into onion mixture.

Cook and stir until onion gravy is thickened about 1 min. Poor over patties to serve along with mashed potatoes or rice
