1/2 peck apples
sugar
ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and place apples in large pan
Add 1/2 cup water
Cook until apples become soft adding more water if necessary

Using a potato masher, crush apples until you have either smooth or chunky style applesauce
May add sugar and cinnamon if desired (not required for natural applesauce)
Ladle applesauce into prepared pint or quart jars

Place in water bath canner and make sure water covers tops of jars
Bring water to a boil then set timer for appropriate processing time
Process for 20 minutes for pints; 25 minutes for quarts
Carefully remove jars with canner tongs.
