"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of each of the following:
Navy
Pinto
Kidney
Lima

1 Large onion finely chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
2 heaping Tbsp BBQ sauce
1 tsp salt
Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
2 heaping Tbsp Molasses
Shot of Wortchester sauce
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp dry mustard
2-3 drops hot sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the beans overnight in lots of water. Do not salt the beans as that toughens them. Drain off the water and then after rinsing the beans add fresh cold water so the water is 1/2 inch above the beans. Bring to a boil and turn to simmer until tender about 3 hours. This is where the recipe ends. I guess you probably then add the remaining ingredients to this and continue to cook over medium head so the onion cooks and the spices blend and get absorbed into the beans. I guess also at this point you could put it into a casserole dish and bake it in a 350º oven for and hour or 90 minutes. The last part is just a guess. I know sometimes Mom would add a finely chopped apple as well.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is Mom's recipe and it wasn't completely written out. She knew what she was doing in the kitchen. I still thought it was worth adding to the cookbook.
