2/3 cup shortening
2 2/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 lb. (2 cups) pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3 1/3 cup flour
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2/3 cup nuts (optional)
2/3 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin and water. Blend dry ingredients and add. Stir in raisins and nuts last, if you want them. Bake in loaf pans until done, about 30 to 40 minutes. This is one of Marc's favorites.
