3 eggs, well beaten
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 pt. whole milk
1 pkg. plain gelatin
4 Tbsp. cold water
1 pt. thick cream
2 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together thoroughly the eggs, sugar and salt. Add 1 pint of whole milk and cook in double boiler 15 to 20 minutes. While hot, add gelatin which has been soaked in the cold water. Pour into a one gallon freezer and add 1 pint thick cream, the vanilla and whole milk to fill the freezer.

For chocolate: Combine 1/3 cup cocoa with boiling water to make a smooth paste, then add to warm custard with 1/2 can of chocolate syrup and add 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
