For the patties:
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 egg
1 1/2 t. dry mustard
3 T. Worcestershire Sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
Fine bread crumbs to stiffen

For the sauce:
1 quart beef or chicken broth
1 T liquid smoke
1 cup catsup
1 cup chili sauce
2 T soy sauce
3 T. prepared mustard
1 cup sweet relish
3 T. Worcestershire sauce
6 - 8 T. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients for the patties and shape into large egg-shaped patties. Fry in butter or bake until done. Place on a serving plate and cover with following sauce. Garnish with parsley and small whole button mushrooms.

Mix all the sauce ingredients except flour in a a sauce pan. Heat and thicken with flour to make a medium-thin gravy. This sauce freezes well.
