2 1/2 cup blackberries washed
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Stir together blackberries and sugar and let sit in a large bowl on counter for 25-30 minutes

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and milk together with a wooden spoon

Stir into the flour mixture the melted butter and mix thoroughly. You will have a few clumps

Pour flour mixture into a medium sized baking dish

Pour the blackberries on top of the batter evenly

Bake for 45 minutes to an hour

Let cool for 5-10 minutes so it will hold its shape
