2 pkg yeast
2 tsp. sugar
2 cups lukewarm water
7 cups flour
1 cup shortening
½ cup sugar
¼ tsp. nutmeg
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups hot milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Dissolve yeast, sugar and lukewarm water. Let stand for 15 minutes.
2. Mix together shortening, sugar, nutmeg, eggs, mild.
3. Add dissolved yeast.
4. Add flower, cover and let rise 1 ½ hours.
5. Punch down, let rise for another 15 minutes.
6. Roll out and cut with doughnut cutter and let rise 60 - 90 minutes.
7. Fry in fat (deep fryer).

***Glaze for Doughnuts
1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
1 ½ cups milk

1. Boil 1 minute, take off stove.
2. Mix 1 cup icing sugar or more, ½ tsp. salt, ½ tsp. vanilla.
3. Keep hot.
