1/4 cup butter melted

1/4 cup orange juice (if you do not have this than sub some apple; experiment)

1/4 cup honey

1/2 tsp. salt

1 broiler/fryer chicken 3 - 4 lbs. cut up

Directions:
Directions:
In a shallow bowl combine the butter, orange juice, honey and salt. Remove 1/3 cup and set aside for basting. Dip chicken pieces in remaining butter mixture. Place in a well greased 13 x 9 baking dish.

Bake, uncovered, at 350º for 1 hour or until juices run clear, basting occasionally with reserved butter mixture.

Yield 6 servings.

Over the years I have taken recipes and just read them. For me it is comforting. I really have fun with recipes and knowing that I may be able to cook like someone I watch on tv or talk to a good friend with or about cooking. I also enjoy community kitchens as cooking on a dime is me.

I often wonder if cooking for me means that I will not starve. Growing up we did not always have like others and this has taken a tole on me over the years. So I like to cook and bake. So sue me.

Now when you look at the list and what is involved why do recipes not include getting the items ready for putting together. Melted butter does not just jump out of the fridge. Maybe witchcraft is at work. Ha Ha
