1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 cup Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 T lemon juice
2 tsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg

Preheat oven to 350º

Grease 8x8x2" square pan.

Beat brown sugar and margarine until fluffy. Stir in baking mix and walnuts until mixture is crumbly, reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mixture in pan. Bake 12 minutes.

Mix cream cheese and granulated sugar, beat in remaining ingredients until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over layer in pan; sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture. Bake until center is firm, about 25 minutes. Cut into about 2" squares. Store cookies in refrigerator.

HIGH ALTITUDE: Heat oven to 375º
