Directions:
Directions:
1. In heavy pan, cook butter, white sugar, salt, and karo syrup.

2. Add cream in, a small amount at a time. Boil over low heat about an hour.

3. Test tsp at a time. When it forms a hard ball and clicks on cup, turn off heat. Add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 cup nuts rolled fine (optional). Sometimes I put in coconut.

4. If you put in a piece of pirwax the size of a walnut in it will keep the candy from being sticky.

5. Pour out into a shallow pan, cool, and cut and wrap in waxed paper.
