Directions:Mix cake mix, 1 cup flour and 1 cup sugar until dry ingredients are distributed evenly. Work butter into dry ingredients as you would for a pie crust. Add 6 tablespoons of water and 1 egg, slightly beaten. Mix until dough can be Formed into balls. Add walnuts. Form into balls (approximately 1 tablespoon of dough for each ball). Form 12 dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Dip the bottom of a regular glass into dry flour and press down on each dough ball. Bake at 350 degrees oven for about 12 minutes. The time may vary in different ovens.
Frosting Place the above ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat and cook until it reaches the soft stage. A little of the chocolate mixture may be dropped in cold water and it should form a soft ball when it is ready. Drizzle the frosting back over cooled cookies. (Leftover frosting makes a wonderful hot sauce topping for ice cream). |
