3 1/2 c. flour 1 c. lard
1/2 t. salt 1 beaten egg
1 T. vinegar 1/4 c. water

Cut lard into flour until pea size. Add in remaining ingredients

Grandma Buchanan always made pies when we gathered for Sunday lunch at her house. She made cherry pie with the cherries off her trees in the backyard; apple; raisin; gooseberry; rhubarb; pumpkin and banana cream and coconut cream with meringue.
