2 c. Log Cabin syrup
1/3 c. coarsely chopped pecans
8-inch pie shell
3/4 c. pecan halves
3 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring syrup to a boil in a 1 1/2 quart saucepan; boil gently, uncovered, for 8 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes.
Sprinkle pecans in an unbaked pie shell. Arrange pecan halves on top. Cream butter; blend in sugar, flour and salt.
Stir in 4 well-beaten eggs, vanilla and syrup. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375º for 55-60 minutes, or until puffed across top and browned. Cool.
