6 c . yogurt (plain laben)
2 Tbsp, cornstarch
I egg white, well beaten (optional)
I Tbsp. dried mint
1 clove garlic (or more, crushed with
I tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornstarch with water to make a paste. Add to yogurt. Add egg whites, and beat with a rotary beater until smooth.

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning or overflowing. Stir until mixture boils. Cook until sauce thickens to a creamy consistency resembling gravy.
While laben is boiling, brown garlic with salt in butter in frying pan and pour over the laban. Sprinkle the dried mint on top and let it boil together. It is now ready to be combined with meat or vegetables.
