Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8 c skim milk (I use whole milk)
1 c nonfat dry milk
1 c ALL NATURAL PLAIN YOGURT (with live active cultures). This is the starter

Directions:
Directions:
You will need a candy thermometer.
Preheat oven at lowest temperature. Turn off and turn the oven light on (this will maintain an oven temp of 110).
Combine milk and powdered milk together. Heat on stovetop in heavy large pan until it reaches a temp of 185º (range of 170 to 200 is fine).
Remove from heat and cool to 110º (105-115 is fine).
If necessary, skim off milk film.
Stir plain yogurt with a small amount of heated milk until dissolved and smooth. Mix very well with remaining milk. Pour into crock, Corning Ware or glass type container.
Place in oven without a cover (this will make a thicker yogurt) for 10 to 12 hours. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN OR JIGGLE THE MIXTURE FOR AT LEAST 10 HOURS.
(e.g. 9pm to 7 or 8am)
Place in refrigerator, allow to cool at least 3-4 hours before serving.
