1 quart strawberries, stemmed
Mash half of them until juicy. Cook them until they come to a boil, and add:

1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch

Cook slowly 10 minutes.

Cut remaining berries in half. Place in bottom of a baked pie shell and spread cooked mixture on top of the berries.
Directions:
Directions:
Place in refrigerator until cold, or ready to serve. Cover with whipped cream.
