3/4 cup butter flavored Crisco
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

8-10 chewy

Cream shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla until light and fluffy, add egg.

Combine dry ingredients. Mix into creamed mixture until blended. Stir in chips and nuts.

Drop by rounded tablespoon on ungreased cookie sheet.

After baking, cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes then finish cooling on rack.
