6 eggs
12 tbsp. heaping sugar (1 1/2 cups)
1 cup oil
5 1/2 to 6 cups flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Bake at 375º for 10-15 minutes on second shelf. Oil hands and roll dough to make ropes, then cut into 5-6 inch lengths, forming S shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet on center shelf of oven..

This is your Grandma Garruto's actual recipe for S shape cookies...she used a special spoon but I measured out to see what volume it would be in cups. She would sometimes glaze these. Every time we were in NY she had these. Tend to be dry but great dunked in coffee.
