Cream:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup Crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar

Add:
2 eggs

In separate bowl, mix:
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Directions:
Add 1/2 of the flour mixture at a time to the peanut butter mixture. Mix well. Roll into 1" balls. Flatten with fork dipped in granulated sugar. Bake 8 - 12 minutes at 375º F. Let sit on pan for 4 minutes before removing to cool on wire rack.

You can also insert a Hershey's chocolate kiss as the cookies are removed from the oven. This makes the cookie a "Black Eyed Susan."
