Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 c. sugar
2/3 c. baking cocoa
1.5 c. milk
dash of salt
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Bring all ingredients except peanut butter to a slow boil and boil until mixture into a soft ball in water. Then remove from heat and add the peanut butter. Keep stirring with wooden spoon until a swirl pattern forms and the mixture starts to "get skinny". This is a crucial stage and you need to just keep on beating it.

Pour into a very lightly buttered 8x8 glass pan and allow to set. Cut into small squares with a sharp knife.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
A very rich fudge, unbeatable by the quick fudge recipes out there. You can look up a degree guideline for the soft ball stage and use a candy thermometer to help you during the heating. Mom remembers eating this fudge with paper bags full of popcorn during her teen years, and as long as I can remember, Grandma Arlene always had a dish of this sitting out at the holidays.
