3 Cups of Flour
1 tbsp. of baking powder
1 tbsp. of gradual sugar
1 tsp of baking soda
½ tsp of salt
2/3 Cup of Shortening
1 Cup of Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Cut in shortening with folk or pastry blender until it looks like fine crumbs. Add buttermilk all at once. Stir into flour mixture until the mixture looks like a soft dough.

Flour preparation surface and knead your dough about 10 times then roll into 8 inch squares, then cut dough into 6 inch squares. Place dough a ½ inch apart on a large ungreased pan. Bake on 450 for 10-12 minutes or until desired golden color.
