½ cup flour
½ yellow corn meal
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp of salt
6 tbsp. of butter cut into small pieces
½ cup of buttermilk plus additional if necessary

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degree and grease baking sheet.

Stir flour, corn meal, baking powder, sugar, and salt together in mixing bowl. Cut in butter until mixture looks like coursed crumb. Stir buttermilk into flour mixture to make a moist but not sticky dough. Add in more buttermilk a tbsp. at a time if dough does not come together. Turn dough out to lightly floured surface. Knead 2-3 times and press into a flat disk. Roll out to about ¾ inch thickness. With a 2-inch cutter cut dough into rounds. Place biscuits on prepared baking sheet about ½ inches apart. Bake until lightly brown 12-13 minutes.
