2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375ºF

Sift together and set aside flour, soda, salt and baking powder.
Blend shortening and sugars, add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture and mix well. Add rolled oats, vanilla chocolate chips.

Dough is crumbly.

Either drop by spoonfuls or roll into balls and baked on a greased sheet for 10 - 12 minutes.
