2 1/4 oz Yeast Dry
1 tbsp Sugar
1 cup lukewarm water
1 cup milk
6 tbsp shortening / Butter / Margarine
7 cups Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Salt
3 eggs beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Disolve yeast and 1 tbsp of sugar in lukewarm water.
Scald milk add shortening, salt, and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Add 2 cups of flour to make a batter.
Add yeast water, beaten eggs, beat well.
Add rest of flour, knead dough lightly, and place in greased bowl.
Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled (2 hrs).
Punch down, pinch off 1/5 of dough - roll into 1/4" thick pie circle.
spread with melted butter and cut into pie shapes.
Roll from large end and place on cookie sheet.
Let rise 1 hour or more
Bake 300° - 350° for 15 or more minutes
