2 1/2 cup oatmeal
2 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pinch cream of tartar

Filling
1.5 lbs Dates
1 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 6 ingredients together with flour. Mix until crumbly.

Filling: Add ingredients to saucepan over low-medium heat and keep adding water so dates won't burn. Cook well. Cool.

Press 1/2 oat mixture into a cake pan. Top with date filling. Cover with the rest of the oat mixture.

Bake at 350º for 30 min.
