1 cup water
1 cup butter - 2 sticks
3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Frosting
6 Tbsps. milk
3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter - 1 stick
3 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350º grease a 15x11 pan

1. Add water, butter and cocoa powder to a medium sauce pan over medium heat and bring to a boil.

2. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, sugar baking soda, and salt. In another small bowl mix together sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Add sour cream/egg mixture to the flour mixture until combined. Once the chocolate mixture in the pan is boiling , remove it from heat and pour into the batter. Mix until there is no lumps.

3. Pour mixture into the prepared pan and smooth with a spatula to dispersed evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until set.

4. When cake is about half way done, make frosting

Frosting: add milk, cocoa and butter to a sauce pan, bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir in powdered sugar. You can beat it with a hand mixture to get rid of any lumps. . Pour hot icing over hot cake. Allow frosting to set 10 minutes before eating.
