1 lb butter
1 dozen egg yolks
12 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup Crisco
2 yeast cakes
dash of salt
1 quart milk

Directions:
Directions:
All ingredients should be at room temperature. Add yeast to a cup of slightly warmed milk and add egg yolks. Stir and set aside. Add rest of ingredients into mixing bowl while yeast is setting. Work like pie dough. Add milk, egg and yeast mixture. Add remaining milk and more flour if needed. Make 12 Balls. Cover with greased wax paper. Refrigerate at least 8 hours. Roll on board, fill and roll up. Let rise in pans 15 minutes before baking at 375 º for 25 minutes.

Nut filling: 3 lbs walnuts, 1 can evaporated milk, 2 cups sugar. Mix.
Poppyseed filling: 2 lbs poppyseed, 2 cups sugar,1/4 pound butter and milk to cover poppyseed. Cook in saucepan 30 minutes.
