5 cups flour
1 lb Crisco
1 yeast cake
5 egg yolks
1 pint sour cream
1 tsp salt
5 egg whites, beaten to stiffness to brush on top

Filling: can use Apricot, Lekvar or Walnut.
Walnut Filling: 2 lbs walnuts, 1 1/2 c sugar, 1 can evaporated milk

Crumble yeast cake into egg yolks. Mix Crisco and flour as for pie dough. Add remaining ingredients (except egg whites) and form four balls. Refrigerate overnight.

Roll out on board covered with flour and sugar mixture. Cut with a krinkle cutter into triangles, squares or rectangles. Fill and brush with egg whites. Place on cookie sheet. Let stand 10 minutes before baking at 350 º for 12 - 15 minutes.
