3 lb beef roast
2 large onions
3/4 cup beef broth
1/4 cup tomato paste
3 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
1 tsp ground allspice
3/4 tsp salt
2 lb Butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cut in cubes
2 lg apples, cut and cored, cut in slices

Directions:
Directions:
In slow cooker, layer onion on bottom, top with beef roast. (Aunt Boops likes to brown it in a pan first) Combine broth, tomato paste, vinegar, cinnamon, rosemary, allspice and salt in a bowl. You can also add 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper if you like. Add to beef and onion.

Cover and cook on low heat for about 6 hours, 3 hours on high. Add squash and apples and cook another 2 hours. I have put all together at one time and it is fine. The squash and apples are really soft but still great.
