Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups rice krispies
2 cups smooth peanut butter
3/4 cup butter
2 cups icing sugar (no lumps)
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
Approx. 1 lb. melting chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, peanut butter & vanilla. Stir in sugar (sift if lumpy), mix and add rice krispies. Mix well. Cool in fridge until firm enough to roll in balls.
Place small balls on parchment paper and cool until very cold. I usually put in freezer. I really don't let freeze or the chocolate will crack when they are dipped.
I melt chocolate wafers in a 2 cup pyrex measuring cup in microwave.
VERY IMPORTANT to do on power level 3 for about 3 minutes. Stir with fork and if they need melted more do for another minute. Do not get too hot! You can also melt in small bowl over hot water. I do chocolate about 1 cup at a time, dip some balls, melt more chocolate. I use a fork and put them back on parchment to cool.
Store in fridge in covered container.
Recipe can easily be halved, as it does make a lot.

Personal Notes:
I think crunchy peanut butter would work, never tried. I use milk chocolate wafers, but real chocolate chips would also melt. Dark chocolate is fine, if you prefer. I prefer smaller balls, as they seem to really grow when dipped.
I am making for Christmas treats, but will be eaten anytime.
