12 slices White bread, crusts removed, cubed
1-1/2 lbs Bulk Pork Sausage
1/3 C Chopped onion
1/4 C Chopped green pepper
6 Eggs
3 C Milk
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dry mustard
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Dried oregano

Directions:

Line a greased 13x9" pan with bread cubes; set aside

In a skillet, brown sausage with the onion and green pepper; drain, Sprinkle over bread

In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper and Oregano. Pour over sausage mixture

Cover and refrigerate overnight

Bake, covered, at 325º for 1 hour and 20 minutes

Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

When we first moved to Montana, my mom and sister-in-law came to visit a few short weeks later. We stayed in Billings and did some shopping and sight seeing. We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast there called The Josephine. They made this for breakfast and shared the recipe. I have used this for our Christmas breakfast ever since.
