2 cups sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups sifted self-rising flour
3 Tbsp cocoa
1 cup water
2 eggs, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar & flour in a large bowl (do not use electric mixer). Combine & bring to a boil - margarine, cocoa, oil, and water. Pour hot mixture over sugar and flour, add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into 9x13 greased and floured pan. Bake at 325º for 30 minutes.

ICING:
1 stick margarine
3 Tbsp milk
2 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 box powdered sugar

Combine margarine, milk, and cocoa and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add vanilla and powdered sugar. Pour over cake while hot. Add nuts if desired.
