8-oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup butter,softened
2 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Filling:
1 lb. ground walnuts
1 beaten egg white
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla


Directions:
Directions:
With a mixer, beat together the cream cheese and butter. Add vanilla and continue mixing. Add flour and mix well. Divide dough into two balls and wrap in waxpaper. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into 3x3 inch squares.
Filling:
Combine nuts, sugar, cream, vanilla, then stir in half the well beaten egg white. Place a tsp. of filling into the center (filling will peak out on ends). Brush with egg white. Bake at 375º until lightly golden. Cool then dust with confectionary sugar.
