3 cups sifted Flour
3 Tsp Baking Powder
Dash Salt
1 Cup of Sugar
1/2 cup butter (¼ lb of spry)
3 Large Eggs
1-1/2 Tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sifted flour, baking powder, salt, sugar on counter. Cut in shortening coarsely. Make a well in center. Break in eggs & vanilla. Blend, then knead. Bake at 350 on bottom shelf for 15 minutes, then 10 minutes on higher shelf at 375.

For Easter, add a raw, colored egg with a small hole punched in the end of it to the middle of the cake before baking. It will cook with the cake and add a decorative, holiday touch! This is a Neopolitan recipe from Dominick Scotto's side of the family.
