1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
2 c. pecans
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except pecans and vanilla in large sauce pan (3 qt)
Bring to boil to softball stage 234º- 240º on candy thermometer. Add vanilla and pecans and beat till thick. Pour onto wax paper. (I use a large cooking spoon and put on paper by spoonfuls) Leave on paper till set.
