2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
4 cups cake flour-sifted
10 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Before measuring sift flour and salt together. Place butter & sugar in large mixing bowl and cream together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add whole eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly between each egg. Add vanilla. Add the 1/2 the sifted flour and salt, mix and then add the remaining flour. Beat 1 minute.
Pour into well greased and floured 3 quart tube pan.
Bake at 325 for 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Remove from pan immediately upon removing from oven. Cool on a wire rack.
