4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
3 tsp. pure lemon extract
6 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
2 egg

Icing:
2 cups confectionery sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
4 tbsp. milk (add as needed)
Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and sugar in a bowl; made a well in center. Add all other ingredients to center of well. Mix until well blended and shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place on a greased cookie sheet about 2 or 3 inches apart. Bake 8 minutes at 400º F. Let cook 15 to 20 minutes. Dip the cookies in icing.
