3 cups sugar
1 cup oleo
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp baking soda
3 heaping tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp vanilla
5-6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar and oleo. Add the eggs and sour cream and mix. Separately, add together the buttermilk and baking soda. Add to above and combine. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill. Roll out and cut with big cutters (they puff and spread). Bake at 350º for 7-10 minutes.

I have at least 10 copies of this in my recipe box, with my handwriting as far back as 2nd grade. I have called Aunt Carol MANY years, hoping for the real "secret". I still don't have it, but a bad sour cream cookie is better than no sour cream cookie.
